FACENDO PLUS

The general objective of the FACENDO PLUS project is to build upon the activities carried out in Facendo 4.0, enabling Stellantis to compete in the automotive market by leveraging cutting-edge technologies and energy efficiency, positioning itself as a key provider of mobility services at an international level.

The project will focus on two technological areas: advanced connectivity and cloud-continuum operations. In terms of connectivity, the innovation lies in integrating the vehicle into the advanced 5G/6G communication infrastructure throughout its manufacturing cycle, using a digital twin for connectivity. Regarding the cloud-continuum, computing loads will be extended from the cloud to the edge efficiently and transparently, aiming to optimize resources and energy consumption. These actions will help guide the factory towards the “factory of the future” and focus on the “autonomous and connected vehicle,” which will gradually become fully electric, intelligent, and environmentally friendly.
