This is a meeting with technology demonstrators to showcase Deeptech capabilities and connect the scientific ecosystem with the Galician industrial fabric.

This conference is part of the aid for strengthening and expanding the capabilities of Galician technology centres promoted by the Regional Government of Galicia with European funds from the Galicia Feder 21-27 programme.

Vigo, October 29th 2025. This morning, Gradiant held the meeting ‘Deeptech Connect: technology transfer for businesses’, a professional conference promoted by the technology centre with the aim of bringing scientific and technological innovation closer to the business community and encouraging the creation of new opportunities for collaboration between industry and the Galician innovation ecosystem.

The event featured the participation of innovation experts such as Fernando Pérez González, Professor in the Department of Signal Theory and Communications (TSC) at the University of Galicia, who analysed the situation of Deeptech ecosystems at national and European level. It also hosted a round table discussion on the challenges and opportunities of Deeptech in Galicia, which brought together Fernando Gago, CEO of Sense Aeronautics; Francisco J. Diaz Otero, CEO of Sparc Foundry; and Sabela Pardo, programme director at Axencia Galega de Innovación.

Attendees were able to participate in various technology demonstration sessions showcasing real-life examples of AI applications in sectors such as aerospace, food, multimedia content and fraud detection. In addition to showcasing examples of advanced cybersecurity, another demonstration highlighted a component that enables analysts at a Security Operations Centre (SOC) to understand and prioritise security alerts more quickly and effectively, as well as an advanced tool for anonymising sensitive datasets.

Deeptech Connect, which is part of the aid for strengthening and expanding the capacities of Galician technology centres promoted by the Regional Ministry of Education, Science, Universities and Vocational Training through European funds from the Galicia Feder 21-27 programme, seeks to promote direct exchange between companies and technology developers and position Galicia as a national benchmark in Deeptech technologies applied to business, promoting a space for real connection between science, technology and industry.

Fernando Jiménez, Gradiant’s general manager, points out that “with this meeting, we are reinforcing our commitment to technology transfer and the creation of a collaborative, practical and results-oriented environment, where companies can identify specific opportunities to adopt Deeptech technology in strategic sectors such as industry, mobility, cybersecurity and artificial intelligence”.
