The project involves the creation and development of a ”Unidad Mixta de Investigación” (UMI) focused on applied research and experimental development in the fields of advanced scientific data management, artificial intelligence applied to biotechnology, and cybersecurity.
D’AIRA is structured around a comprehensive approach that will enable progress towards more efficient, connected and secure laboratories. To this end, the unit will work in three main areas: advanced scientific data management, aimed at the continuous improvement of data quality, traceability and interoperability; the application of artificial intelligence, through the development of advanced analytical models that facilitate the analysis and generation of knowledge from large volumes of information; and cybersecurity, proactively ensuring the protection of sensitive data in highly regulated environments.
The project was funded under the 2025 Unidad Mixta de Investigación (UMI) call for proposals and co-financed by the European Union.
