Gradiant and Telespazio develop technology for sustainability
The GEOSUB Project Aims to Observe Biodiversity Using Drones and DAA Technology as Part of the Civil UAVs Initiative
Telespazio Ibérica and Gradiant Successfully Conducted Tests at the Furaventos Airfield (Pontevedra)
The Xunta de Galicia and the Galician Aerospace Hub, as part of the Civil UAVs Initiative, are developing an innovative system for biodiversity observation using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Recently, key demonstrations were conducted at the Furaventos airfield to validate the technological capabilities of these UAVs, with a focus on their advanced navigation and communication systems.
Gradiant is contributing to this initiative through the GEOSUB project (Geospatial Services Based on UAS in BVLOS) within the integrated Biodiversity program. This project focuses on the development of Detect & Avoid (DAA) technology for data analysis and the creation of solutions that ensure safety and efficiency in flight operations.
Thanks to the technology developed by Gradiant in collaboration with Telespazio Ibérica, it is now possible to monitor coastal ecosystems, identify and track invasive species, and thus promote the protection of natural spaces and sustainability.
