The ACE project, developed by Gradiant and Fundación Biomédica Galicia Sur, aims to improve chronic wound care using AI

Supported by the Ignicia program, this initiative seeks to enhance clinical decision-making and reduce healthcare costs

The director of Axencia Galega de Innovación (GAIN), Carmen Cotelo, visited Gradiant today to gain first-hand insight into the progress of the ACE (Advanced Cutaneous Evaluator) project. This AI-driven solution aims to enhance the treatment of chronic wounds. Developed in collaboration with the Fundación Biomédica Galicia Sur and supported by the Ignicia program of the Xunta de Galicia, the project seeks to optimize clinical decision-making, reduce costs, and improve therapeutic outcomes for patients.

During her visit, Cotelo emphasized the importance of technology transfer as a key factor in bringing research results to the market and improving people’s quality of life. In this regard, the ACE project represents a significant advancement in the application of artificial intelligence to healthcare, addressing a major medical and economic challenge. Its potential has already been recognized at the XI Bioga Awards, highlighting its contribution to the digital health sector.
