The A2Vises project is a firm commitment to exploiting ICTs for improving the management of public resources and services in urban environments, known as smart cities. Specifically, the project focuses on the use of intelligent video analytics to develop applications aimed at improving mobility through the sensing of public spaces and transport and the analysis of the obtained information. This requires the research and development of new video analysis methods, as well as the design and development of a next-generation platform for management, recording, and secure access control.
Within this project, Gradiant plays an important role, participating in the following tasks:
- Study and development of advanced video analysis algorithms and event detection for specific smart city applications.
- Development of a software platform for managing video analysis modules for IP video networks.
- Development of a standards-based API for integrating the video analysis platform into a real-world urban sensing and management system.
- Study of passive certified identification devices.
- Design of secure communication protocols and video and data encryption.
