Bats

The BATS project focuses on broadband service provision in the future via the integrated delivery of satellite and terrestrial services. The “Intelligent User Gateway” is the central part of the project, dynamically routing traffic through the most appropriate access network to optimize Quality of Experience (QoE). This project will be tested in labs and field trials in Spain and Germany, with research on Ultra High Throughput Satellite Systems to reduce cost per bit.
