Technology is an essential tool for people with functional diversity, as it allows them to carry out tasks they were previously unable to do, becoming some of their most loyal users. However, technology itself is raising barriers that prevent its use by people with physical, mental, or sensory limitations, thus affecting their full social integration.
The goal of the Interacce project is to establish a model for designing intelligent, intuitive, and integrated interfaces capable of masking difficulties in operating computers and ICT-based devices. The aim is to achieve natural modes of interaction based on speech recognition and gaze tracking technologies, with intelligent adaptation to users and multimodal responses to different stimuli. To achieve this objective, a collaboration has been established between Wireless Galicia, the University of Vigo, and Gradiant.
