NANOeaters is a network of Research Centers created with the aim of supporting companies in the Eurorregion in applying value-added nanotechnology solutions for the definition of new products and/or services, potentially commercially exploitable, that provide effective responses to the weaknesses identified in the Smart Specialization Strategy of the Galicia – North of Portugal Eurorregion. Gradiant’s role in the project, together with INL and UVigo, is the design, prototyping, and evaluation of an ultra-low power sensor with communication capabilities that combines the latest advances in nanosensors and communications, while also seeking to exploit the advantages of integrated electronics. The goal is to achieve exceptionally long autonomy when using batteries, or even autonomous deployments if microenergy generation techniques are used instead of traditional batteries. Its application would focus on sectors such as industry or areas like Smart City.
