The NATWORK project conducts innovative research in the field of security for future 6G networks. To achieve this, it covers four areas of work. First, it will close the security gap in innovation between software systems, resource management, and network architectures. Second, it will enable multiple providers to interconnect resources and services through simplified and secure-by-design interfaces, without the need for rigid planning and engineering processes. Third, AI will be natively integrated across multiple layers of the network, from the physical layer to the vertical application layer. Finally, NATWORK will provide a holistic framework to defend against attacks on the physical layer, as wireless networks are prone to various security threats, such as interference, tracking, and illegal eavesdropping.
