The PERSIST project (Patients-centered SurvivorShIp care plan after Cancer treatments based on Big Data and Artificial Intelligence technologies) focuses on addressing the unmet needs of cancer survivors, with the goal of transforming their quality of life. PERSIST aims to ensure that Big Data technologies are ready for routine use in the healthcare sector, improving long-term care for survivors. By applying these technologies, the project seeks to personalize both treatment and post-disease care plans, adapting them to the specific needs of each patient.

The impact of PERSIST will be significant, not only in terms of quality of care but also in reducing the high costs associated with cancer treatment. By leveraging Big Data, the project will enable more effective management of clinical information and more detailed monitoring of patients’ health, leading to more precise and efficient care. PERSIST aims to offer high-quality medical care while making treatments and care more accessible and sustainable for the healthcare system, benefiting both patients and medical professionals. The project is specifically aimed at addressing the unmet needs of cancer survivors and will have a transformative impact on their quality of life by ensuring that Big Data technologies are ready to be routinely used throughout the healthcare sector.
