The PlatGDIA project’s main objective is to reduce the complexity and effort involved in developing Digital Twins with Embedded AI (GDIA) for Industry 4.0 and, by extension, for New Materials and Biotechnology. This will be achieved through the research and development of a methodology for the development and validation (DTMeth) of Digital Twins (DT). Additionally, the project includes the following components: an adapted lifecycle for digital twins (DT-SDLC), a software platform for creating AI-intensive digital twins (PlatGDIA, or PlatAIDT in English), and a library of Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based components to facilitate Composable Digital Twins (DTBlocks). The overall methodology (DT-SDLC, PlatGDIA, and DTBlocks) will be validated through its application in the development and validation of various digital twins, which is also a key goal of this project.
