This project involves the deployment of a user experience through the development of a comprehensive operating platform to be included in all types of consumer electronics devices, aimed at the concept of Connected Digital Home. This project concept includes not only the development of an operating platform tailored to the specific requirements of consumer electronics but also the establishment of the foundations for an application marketplace that extends its functionalities to user services and monitoring, as well as the research and development of more natural forms of user interaction based on image, gesture, and voice recognition.
The goal of this project is to implement an operating platform to be included in a wide range of consumer electronics devices, allowing the user experience to extend beyond physical media, so that regardless of the device being used, the interaction remains consistent. The concept could be described as Multi-Screen, or Unified User Experience.
Gradiant’s collaboration in the project will focus on the research and development of advanced human-machine interfaces based on the analysis of multimodal (facial and gestural) user information, to offer simple, intuitive, and personalized interaction with the platform. Gradiant will also focus its efforts on the design and development of an automatic multimedia content categorization system, enabling convergence between the multiple databases present on the Internet and the user’s device media libraries, as well as a recommendation engine that leverages the categorization system’s knowledge and a user profile database.
