The SAT2CAR project (System for Connected Vehicle Services via Satellite Communications) aims to develop and validate an integrated system of services and mobile applications for vehicles via a satellite communication system operating in the Ka band. This system will offer a wide range of services for connected vehicles, taking advantage of satellite communications to ensure extended and reliable coverage.
Gradiant’s role in the project is crucial, as it will be responsible for the design, development, and verification of the bidirectional satellite communication system. This includes the user terminal to be installed in the vehicle and the ground station, known as the Gateway. Additionally, Gradiant will support Egatel during the system integration phase, ensuring that all components function coherently, and during field tests, where the systems real-world performance will be evaluated.
With SAT2CAR, the aim is to boost connectivity in the automotive sector by using advanced satellite technology, offering vehicles continuous and efficient communication that provides access to innovative and high-quality services.
