SMARTLOGISTIC

The SMARTLOGISTIC project (Research on new enabling 4.0 technologies for intelligent digital logistics) focuses on designing and implementing a novel intelligent logistics system for the comprehensive, real-time management of warehouses, aiming to achieve a significant optimization of the use of logistical resources such as trucks and forklifts, while significantly improving stock control by completely eliminating stockouts caused by shipping errors and package misplacement. To achieve this, the project proposes developing pilot prototypes at three FINSA facilities that cover the most important scenarios for its operations, through exploration of intelligent solutions based on AI and Machine Learning for dimensional control and optimization of truck loading sequences. Additionally, it seeks to incorporate new dynamic filtering solutions in wireless identification for stock traceability, all integrated into a warehouse management software (WMS) that manages and sends orders to guide warehouse personnel, a solution that does not currently exist in the field.
