STARTTIC – HIGH-TECH INCUBATOR TO BOOST THE ICT SECTOR IN VIGO
The startTIC project is structured around two key actions:
On one hand, the sustainable renovation and technological, digital, and innovative equipment of Building No. 4, which will house the incubator. Zona Franca will oversee the complete remodeling, as well as the installation of infrastructures and cutting-edge technological equipment. Additionally, the Consortium will be responsible for the maintenance and management of the space.
The second action focuses on developing continuous advisory programs to support startups and foster synergies within the ecosystem. These programs will promote innovation, access to funding, specialized and technological mentoring, and networking opportunities. In this area, the Chamber of Commerce will lead activities such as internationalization programs and will run its own entrepreneurship initiatives. Meanwhile, Gradiant will advise Zona Franca on the design and selection of technological equipment, collaborate in its management, and implement specialized and technology-driven mentoring programs.
The future high-tech incubator and startup incubation space for the ICT sector will drive knowledge transfer, integrate innovation into the business fabric, and enhance competitiveness. It will also help attract talent and promote smart, sustainable, and inclusive growth for SMEs. The incubator will accelerate the development of participating companies by fostering innovation and transformation. Priority will be given to technology transfer, facilitating knowledge exchange between companies, research centers, universities, the business environment, and the general public.
