Problem
Identity verification is a crucial process for many companies.
Until recently, traditional methods left them more prone to security risks, with users required to complete forms manually, making it a slow and bureaucratic process that led to some human error.
What’s more, these methods carried a high risk of identity theft to carry out fraudulent attacks through printed photos, screen shots or pre-recorded videos.
Solution
ALiCE is applied in various sectors, verifying drivers’ documents in mobility companies, registering guests in the hotel sector, minimising identity theft on social media or verifying users in gaming and gambling companies. The technology is sensitive to ageing, changes in appearance, glasses or watermarks on documents, thus improving security for both the business and the customer.
It is operated through a verification of the user’s identity in which the customer takes a photo of his or her ID card and ALiCE does the rest by matching the data provided for facial recognition with a selfie or image of the customer.
AML (Anti-Money Laundering) databases ensure continuous searching and monitoring against international datasets and anti-money laundering sanctions lists.
