Gradiant Meets Mayor Inés Rey Ahead of Opening of A Coruña Office
Ahead of the forthcoming opening of its new office in A Coruña, representatives of Gradiant – the only ICT Technology Centre in Galicia and one of the largest in Spain in information and communication technologies – this morning met with the Mayor Inés Rey, to discuss the further development of the centre’s activity in the city.
Luis Pérez and Fernando Jiménez, Executive Director and General Manager of Gradiant respectively, expressed Gradiant’s interest in continuing to boost the Galician innovation ecosystem and the business fabric of the city as the capital of ICT.
The new Gradiant offices, which join the existing ones in Vigo, will be operational in April, being part of the digital environment “Hi”, a technology incubation ecosystem located in the centre of A Coruña.
With more than 200 people dedicated to innovation in the field of ICT, Gradiant is the third largest technology centre in Spain and a benchmark in the creation of spin-offs, generating new business fabric from its technologies. In 2024, it has launched its third spin-off (start-up) which is already creating high-tech jobs for itself.
Gradiant is a private institution with the participation of the 3 universities and the leading tech companies in Galicia, which provides its artificial intelligence technologies, cybersecurity and communications systems to sectors as diverse as health, industry and defence.
