XDATASHARE by Gradiant is a platform for creating and operating federated, sovereign data spaces, designed for organisations that need to share information without losing control of their assets. It enables data to be published, negotiated and transferred under each organisation’s own rules, incorporating decentralised identity, end-to-end traceability and open European standards such as IDSA, Gaia-X, DSP, DCAT and W3C verifiable credentials.
The solution is based on Eclipse Dataspace Components and provides components for providers, consumers and data-space governance authorities. Its approach helps overcome mistrust, silos and dependence on centralised solutions, enabling secure, interoperable, production-ready data-sharing ecosystems.

Sovereign data spaces
XDATASHARE by Gradiant’s main application is the deployment of sovereign data spaces in which multiple organisations can share information assets under defined governance. Each participant publishes datasets in a catalogue, defines access and contract policies, negotiates terms through the Data Space Protocol, and transfers data in push or pull mode. The data-space authority manages identities, verifiable credentials, participants, traceability and common vocabularies. This architecture is particularly useful for sector consortia, public administrations and platforms that need to create interoperable data ecosystems.

Sovereignty, interoperability and trust
XDATASHARE by Gradiant’s main benefit is enabling data-driven collaboration while maintaining sovereignty, trust and regulatory compliance. Each organisation decides who may access its assets, under what conditions and with what safeguards, without relying on an intermediary that controls the data. Because it is based on open standards and cloud-native technologies, it reduces vendor lock-in, supports interoperability and enables on-premises or cloud deployments. Its portal also simplifies operation for non-technical users and accelerates the launch of new data spaces.
